Kashagan, an offshore field located at the north of the
Caspian Sea, Kazakh territory, was discovered in July 2000.
Owned by a group of partners led by Agip, presently Kashagan
could prove to be the world's fifth largest oilfield. The field,
75 km SSE of Atyrau, lies in just 3,7 m of water.
GATE, a partnership between Tekfen and Gama, has
undertaken Kashagan Industrial Area Buildings scheme of
which the scope covers 'Detailed Engineering, Procurement
& Construction' works of nine buildings as part of the
(future) Oil and Gas Processing Terminal of AGIP KCO at
Eskene West, Atyrau.
