S.Arabia, Ma’aden Phosphoric Acid Plant…
Litwin - Tekfen consortium has been awarded $240 million contract in
Saudi Arabia, by Ma’aden, for the 2nd phase of the construction of an EPC,
Phosphoric Acid Plant. Tekfen’s portion is $189,8 million.
Qatar Motorway Project…
Ashghal, Public Works Authority of Qatar awards 94 km Motorway Project
to Tekfen. Primary Routes, North Road Project / Contract 2 & 3 is scheduled to be
completed within 30 months’ period.
Khurais: New Aramco scheme awarded to Tekfen…
Tekfen has been awarded Khurais Water Injection Facilities and
Utilities Project, Mechanical Works, Package-1 and Package–2 by Snamprogetti of
Italy, acting as the EPC Contractor for Aramco of Saudi Arabia.. The works cover
piping prefabrication and erection, pipe racks, erection of boilers, fire water
system, erection of turbines, pipe-rack flare, hydrotest, instrumentation and
utilities, water wells and fuel gas system..
Qatar Petroleum awards new pipeline scheme to
Tekfen…
Umm Bab – Mesaieed Main Pipeline project has been undertaken by Tekfen on
EPC lump-sum basis (Nov. 2006). The project is Tekfen’s second construction
scheme in the country with the world’s largest known gas reserves, presently.

Ma’aden Phosphoric Acid Plant (OBE) , S. Arabia..
Tekfen signs 1st phase of Ma’aden Phosphoric Acid Plant Contract in
cooperation with Litwin Co.. The 1st phase covers Open Book Cost Estimate
exercise expected to lead to 2nd phase which is the LSTK Construction scheme
award to the same group.
PetroRabigh–UO1: S.Arabia..
Civil, mechanical, electrical & instrumentation works of Cooling
Towers, Compressor Station, Air Separation & Sulphur Units of Rabigh Refinery
are also awarded to Tekfen under “UO1 – Utilities and Offsites – 1” scheme.
Rabigh Development - UOU
: New Project in Saudi Arabia..
Tekfen is awarded another challenging scheme in S. Arabia by Aramco.
The project covers mechanical erection and civil works of the new units of an
existing refinery; utilities and off-sites.. The facility is located at Rabigh,
on the Red Sea coast of S. Arabia; Foster Wheeler (UK) undertakes project
management consultancy contract.
Tekfen's inaugural contract in Libya…
Tekfen has been awarded Al Khufra - Tazerbo Water Conveyance System
project (380 km) by Great Man Made River Authority of Libya, in partnership with
TML.. The scheme, being within the scope of Libya's prestigious water supply
project, Phase 3, covers erection of post-tensioned concrete pipes with 4 m.
dia. & 7.5 m length each.
Oman, Harweel Cluster Phase II, Facilities scheme
takes off..
Tekfen has been awarded its inaugural project in the Sultanate of
Oman; construction of 234 km 6"-20" carbon steel flow lines, trunk
line & pipeline system for gas and crude oil under the Harweel Cluster Phase
II Facilities scheme. The client is PDO, Petroleum Development Oman..
Tekfen's inaugural contract in Qatar…
Tekfen undertakes implementation of 137 km long (20'' and 24'') Ras
Laffan - Mesaieed ethane transmission pipeline in Qatar (July 2005).
Construction of two new and expansion of nine existing valve stations are also
within the scheme...
KOC awards the new export facilities scheme to
Tekfen…
Tekfen is to construct 8 new crude oil tanks within the 'enhancement
of export facilities' program for Kuwait Oil Company. Each tank will have an
operating capacity of 618,000 bbl. The project is scheduled to be completed by
June 2007 under a fast-track execution schedule.
IPLOCA* appoints Tekfen Director to Board...
Snr. V. President of Tekfen Construction and Installation Co., Inc. Mr.
Osman Birgili is, once again, appointed to IPLOCA Board of Directors (Sept.
2005). Mr. Birgili is also to undertake the chairman post at IPLOCA's Safety
Committee.

Projects are awarded to GATE, Tekfen - Gama partnership (2nd Qtr 2005)..
Kashagan, a rich offshore oil field recently discovered in the North Caspian, is
located at 75 km south east of Atyrau.
Samir Refinery Upgrading Scheme: Morocco…
Upgrading Works of SAMIR*, the main refinery of Morocco, are awarded to
Tekfen-Snamprogetti partnership (2nd Qtr 2005). The scheme is planned to be
completed by mid 2008. (* Societe Anonyme Marocaine De l'Industrie Du Raffinage

2 x 300 MW Power Plant in Bulgaria: Maritza East -1
Tekfen-Gama partnership is awarded the civil works portion of the 2 x 300
MW Maritza East -1 Power Plant in southern Bulgaria. The project, undertaken in
cooperation with Alstom Power Generation, is a BOOT scheme.

Construction works of the 2nd Phase of the Light Rail System for Bursa City,
a section with length of 4.040 m, is awarded to Tekfen - Siemens - Tüvasas
consortium (24 October 2004). The project is scheduled to be completed within 24 months..
BTC, Ceyhan Marine Terminal, Construction of 2.3 km Jetty: 496. (Final) Pile
Driven…
496. (Final) Pile of the 2.3 km. long Jetty at Tekfen’s BTC Project, Ceyhan
Marine Terminal scheme, is driven as of 27 September 2004.
Jetty Project’s completion rate reaches %84 as of the same date; the first
pile being driven on 09 September 2003.
Tekfen is %33 ahead of its schedule with 1.3 (pile/day) driving rate. The
piles, reaching a total length of 152 km, were manufactured at Tekfen’s Steel
Structure Plant at Ceyhan.

Tekfen’s environmental consciousness is reconfirmed by IPLOCA’s 2004
runner up award given for relevant protection programs at ongoing Sangachal
(Azerbaijan) and BTC (Ceyhan/Turkey) schemes…
Tekfen: Pioneering on Environment / ISO 14001 in Turkey…
Tekfen successfully completes its ‘’ ISO 14001:1996 - Environmental
Management System Certification’’ process being certified by SGS
as of 02 September 2004. Documentation, training of personnel and internal
auditors, introduction of Environmental Management System to project sites and
fabrication facilities took a busy two years’ period for Tekfen finally
reaching its challenging target. Tekfen is also a holder of ISO 9001:2000 and
OHSAS 18001:1999 certificates.
PCWU Topsides; a new project in Azerbaijan …
ATA (AMEC-TEKFEN-AZFEN) Consortium undertakes a new project within the
Azeri-Chiraq-Guneshli Field Development scheme; ‘’PCWU / Process,
Compression, Water Utilities Project’’ covers manufacturing, erection,
commissioning and loading (on to the barge) of a 13,500 mt platform.
Tekfen is awarded motorway contract in Morocco…
Tekfen steps into a new continent, new country with a motorway contract in
Morocco; 13 km section ( 2 x 2 Lane ) of Tanger-Port de Qued Rmel Motorway
project is to take off in August 2004 and scheduled to be completed within 29
months’ period; the scheme includes 2 bridges, 1 intersection, 3 vehicle
under-passes and 5 under-passes…
Saudi Aramco / Quad-1 Seawater Pipeline and Support
facilities scheme..
Saudi Aramco, the main hydrocarbon investor of S.Arabia, awards one more
major pipeline project to Tekfen. The contract consists construction of 123 km
FBE coated steel seawater pipeline and support facilities.
YANBU Refinery / Saudi Arabia project award..
Tekfen undertakes another challenging project in Saudi Arabia; Yanbu Refinery
Civil Works project takes off as of April 2004 and targets mid-2005 for
completion.
Bursa City 3rd Phase Gas Distribution project
continues..
Tekfen targets end-2004 for the completion of its Bursagaz pipeline project.
Under the contract signed with Bursagaz (Gas distribution company of Bursa
Municipality) in 2003 July, Construction Works of 37 km Gas Distribution
Pipeline system was undertaken by Tekfen within the City’s 3rd Phase Gas
Distribution Scheme.
Azerbaijan Shah Deniz onshore terminal ….
Shah Deniz Terminal Project which took off in mid-2003 moves on
smoothly targeting end of 2005 for completion. The client is BP.
Azeri, Chiraq, Guneshli Full Field Development
Projects..
Azerbaijan ACG FFDP Onshore Terminal Projects Phase 1 & 2
continue.
The 1st Phase which was given a start in January 2002 is scheduled for
completion within the 3rd quarter of 2004 while the 2nd Phase shall continue
until end 2005.
Helios Award from BP….
Tekfen receives Helios Award on ‘Promoting Human Development Through
Training and Recruitment’ theme for its achievement in Sangachal Terminal
Expansion Project / STEP in Azerbaijan. The award is presented under BP’s
initiative. The competition took place among 1778 BP Projects run
worldwide.
TEKFEN-1 & TEKFEN-2; The Largest Pile Driving
Barges in Turkey fully operative at Ceyhan, BTC Project site…
Two Pile Driving Barges, TEKFEN 1 & 2, manufactured at a shipyard in
Tuzla, Ýstanbul, are now both in operation at Tekfen's BTC-Ceyhan Marine
Terminal Project site..
60 m x 20 m barges are 1500 t each with tower height of 54 m.

Peninsula Natural Gas Pipeline Project successfully completed..
Construction of Apsheron Peninsula (50 km x 40’’& 45 km x 28’’) Natural Gas
Pipeline, a Compressor Station and 3 Pig Stations successfully completed..
Tekfen Tower, a new landmark building in Istanbul,
inaugurated on 20 October 2003…
Construction of Tekfen Tower, high-rise building of Tekfen
located at the center of Istanbul's prestigious business district in Levent, was
started in October 2000. 26 storey, state of the art building, consisting

Kazakhstan, Atyrau Refinery Reconstruction Project
starts….
Tekfen starts reconstruction works at Atyrau Refinery in Kazakhstan.
Approximately 40.- Mio USD project is undertaken by GATE, a Joint Venture of
equal shares with, partnership with GAMA of Turkey. The client is JGC of Japan.
Ceyhan Marine Export Terminal Facilities Project
moves on……
150.- Mio USD BTC / Baku Tbilisi Ceyhan* Onshore-Offshore Terminal Facilities
Project
targets end 2005 for completion. Challenging Project includes construction of a
2 km long Jetty and 7 Crude Oil Tanks each with 150,000m3 capacity.
* (BTC Pipeline runs 1760 km across Azerbaijan, Georgia and
Turkey to Mediterrenean port of Ceyhan.
