    Our DAWFC successes continue unabated

We have left behind yet another year deservedly proud of the successful DAWFC figures coming from work sites.

No accidents or mishaps in Samir

DAWFC success at Tekfen Construction's Samir Refinery Development Project continuing at Muhammediye, Morocco has reached 25 million man/hours as of the last quarter of 2009. The project entails construction and assembly work undertaken in and around an operational refinery. The fact that no accidents resulting in days away from work took place in the refinery where over 4000 workers may be working at the same time and where the job involves risks is very significant as it underscores the value of the success achieved. This success is rendered even more valuable when criteria such as the number and size of the components assembled (21,000 tons in total), weight lifted in a single piece (1000 ton/750-800 ton), the number of instruments (61,000 in total) and number of welds (a total of 1,350,000 dia-inch/wdi) are taken into consideration. As the Tekfen family, we wholeheartedly applaud everyone who has contributed to this success, which was greatly appreciated by the client and awarded with a certificate, and wish that the project is completed equally successfully.

Keep on the right course in Kashagan!

The on-going Kashagan Industrial Area Buildings Project in Kazakhstan launched in the first half of 2005 has reached 4 million man/hour DAWFC within 1,570 work days. Engineering and construction work of nine buildings which are part of the oil and gas terminal is being carried out in this project where Tekfen Construction has a 50% partnership. We congratulate the project team and cheer them on "Carry on!"

    Reliable Contractor Award for Ma'aden

Tekfen Construction reached 5 million man/hour DAWFC in Saudi Arabia, at the Ma'aden Fertilizer Factory Phosphoric Acid Plant Project. Tekfen Construction, successfully undertaking the factory's phosphoric acid plant construction received the "most reliable contractor" award last September from WorleyParsons which is undertaking the project on behalf of the client. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all those who have contributed to this success.
