Taif Sewerage and Storm Water System Project, a challenging "inner city" task undertaken by Tekfen, was successfully accomplished despite major urban restrictions.

The project comprises of the construction of potable water supply system of 283.600 m, non-potable water supply system of 304.500 m, sanitary sewer system of 252.030 m and storm water disposal system of 31.800 m.

The details of the project are as follows:

• Potable Water Supply System
- 80.000 m of 300 mm - 600 mm ductile iron main pipeline
- 124.000 m of 100 mm - 200 mm ductile iron distribution pipeline
- 71.500 m of 50 mm - 80 mm PE service pipeline

• Non-Potable Water Supply System
- 35.600 m of 300 mm - 800 mm steel main pipeline
- 189.700 m of 75 mm - 200 mm PVC distribution pipeline
- 79.200 m of 25 mm - 80 mm PVC service pipeline

• For Water Supply System
- 13.310 m boxes for house connections
- 600 fire hydrants
- 3.915 valves

• Sanitary Sewer System
- 160.900 m at 250 mm - 400 mm vitrified clay main and trunk gravity sewers
- 11.930 m at 500 mm - 1400 mm GRP main trunk gravity sewers
- 79.200 m at 150 mm - 20 mm vitrified clay house connection
- 4.650 manholes

• Storm Water Disposal System
- 4.200 m at concrete box culverts
- 27.600 m at 300 mm - 2000 mm asbestos cement pipes
- 400 storm water inlets
