The scope of this major pipeline project, accomplished by Tekfen, in Turkey, covers engineering, procurement and construction works of 24Ē x 457 km crude oil transmission line including a 3 x 50.000 m3 capacity floating roof tankage system and 2 pump stations.

API 5LS X-60 pipes with wall thicknesses ranging from 6,35 mm to 11,92 mm were used. Part of the terrain crossed was a 57 km long special zone, where the pipes were transported by a special overhead cable lifting system over the steep slopes.

The pipeline which supplies crude oil from Ceyhan, where the terminal of the Iraq - Turkey Pipeline System is, to Central Anatolian Refinery, crosses rough and rocky area of the Toros Mountains which stretch through southern Turkey parallel to the Mediterranean Coast. The projectís financing was also arranged by Tekfen.
