The TANAP starts from the Georgia/Turkey border at Türkgözü/Posof/Ardahan where it connects to South Caucasus Pipeline (SCP) and ends at the Turkey/Greece border in Ipsala/Edirne, where it feeds into the TAP Pipeline. There is an off-take station at Eskişehir, Turkey, and another one at Thrace, Turkey to connect to the Turkish natural gas distribution network.

The TANAP Project is a 56-inch and 48-inch pipeline system of 1805 km, and will transport natural gas to the required specifications and quantity. The initial capacity of TANAP is expectedto be 16 billion cubic meters (bcm) of gas per year, gradually increasing to 31 bcm. 6 bcma will be delivered toTurkish consumers within Turkey via off-take stations by Gas Transport Agreement (GTA).
