EPC Tankage works were within the scope of Al - Tameer Project launched by Kuwait Oil Company (KOC), following the Gulf Conflict of '90 - '91.

3 x 570.000 bbl (total 273.360 m3) and 1 x 166.000 bbl (26.560 m3) capacity floating roof crude oil storage tanks and the filling manifold were constructed within 14 months' period for Kuwait Oil Company.

Tekfen overtook Design, Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Erection, Testing and Commissioning works of the new tank farm project where Bechtel Int'l Inc. / USA was responsible for the project management.

Structural Concrete Works: 1.950 m3
Earthworks (Excavation and Filling): 293.000 m3
All Associate Electrical and Instrumentation Works,
Non-Destructive Testing and Commisioning.

The foundation of the tankage was also designed and constructed by Tekfen; design standard was API 650. Double seal external floating roof and articulated pipe drain with FMC Swivel Joints; automatic breather valve (venting) and automatic level gauge were some particular characteristics of the project successfully accomplished by Tekfen.
