Iraq crude oil is transported to Turkey by a pipeline terminating at Ceyhan / Yumurtalık Port on the Mediterranean Coast.
The scope of the terminal project covered construction of a small craft harbour and an approach jetty of approximately 2 km with 2 loading platforms where up to 4 tankers, ranging from 15.000 DWT to 300.000 DWT can be berthed.
All piping, mechanical and electrical installations, such as metering units, loading arms, electrical panels and related instrumentation were also included within the Project’s scope.
Erection of 2 diesel generators, 2 x 1000 kVA 6,3 / 0,4 kVA substations, high and medium voltage power and control panels, 300 km cabling, 40 km conduit piping, cathodic protection of jetty piles and installation of ex-proof lighting and navigation systems were successfully undertaken under this scheme.
